America the Beautiful Quarters will be released at a rate of five designs per year, with a single design released for the final year of the series. The table below shows the exact release date if known, and tentative release dates for all other coins in the series.
The entire register of sites for the America the Beautiful Quarters Program was unveiled by the United States Mint in September 2009. At that point, the order of release for each of the fifty six planned quarters was established based on the order that the sites were first federally designated. This has caused some jurisdictions featured in the final years of the previous State Quarters series to be featured in the early years of the current series, and vice versa.
The release schedule for the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters is already known. The coins will depict Hot Springs National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Mount Hood National Forest. The first coin is scheduled for release on April 19, 2010 with the rest following in roughly equal intervals throughout the remainder of the year.
